General Meeting<= o:p>

May 12th, 2004

 

Boa= rd members present: Bert Ozgun, Roland Harris, Carol Fearns, Kara Urban, and Christine Webbert

 

7:0= 0 pm, snacks

7:3= 0 pm, meeting opened

 

BER= T OZGUN, President

 

Bert introduced himself as the new president and his new role.  He thanked Kara for her role as pa= st president and all her hard work.  Went over the HOA board and how comprised and the elected officers.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'>  He reminded neighbors to continue = to communicate and work together as a community.  Introduced committee members and t= hen each proceeded to give committee reports.

 

CAR= OL FEARNS, Treasurer

 

Ove= rall view of neighborhood, no more model homes and no lots left.  Some private lots, but for the most part, the large construction trucks will cease in the neighborhood.  Overview of bu= dget and the guidelines of each.  At this point, only a few remaining HOA dues are outstanding, currently workin= g on collecting.

Exp= lained what the HOA dues are inclusive of and how the HOA has been spending the money.  Thanked everyone for k= eeping an eye on the neighborhood and keeping it safe.

 

SHI= RLEE MARRS, Landscape Coordinator

 

Wai= ting for last year plants to come back, which most are expected to.  Replaced 5 plants on the front ent= rance, and will plant a few more.  Will concentrate on Turnberry entrance.  This entrance has had several wate= r issues and drainage problems, are now aware of issue and will fix this year.  Reminded everyone to be= careful while driving, and to watch the corners as well as when mowing, be aware of= the waste and not to shoot in street.

 

CHR= ISTINE WEBBERT, Social (for Kara Urban)

 

Out= line the social events for the year and some committees.

Ask= ed everyone to spread the word of the community picnic, hold the date for Augu= st 28th, 2004.  More d= etails will follow, for now just keep the date.


ROL= AND HARRIS, Vice President, Website Coordinator

 

Web= site presentation, explained each area on site as well as how to maneuver in the site.  Detailed each committee= and the community calendar, and reminded all this will only work as long as peo= ple are posting and using the site.  Explained the pros and cons of the website vs. the costs of printing and distribution.

 

OTH= ER

 

Bert, summed up the meeting, reminded people to drive slowly in and around the neighborhood and asked neighbors to remind others. 

 

Opened the floor to questions and problems.

 

Chr= is Murray, - Reminded that the lot on Turnberry, ne= eds to be mowed, she was encouraged to use the new website to try it out…

ACTION:  Bert will also look into.
